Re-enrollment for current families and applications from prospective families are available in January for the next school year. Around the Sun does not have rolling admission, but rather enrolls students for a full school year. Applications are processed according to the following schedule:

Re-enrollment for current families and applications from prospective families are available in January for the next school year. Around the Sun does not have rolling admission, but rather enrolls students for a full school year. Applications are processed according to the following schedule:
- Enrollment applications become available via the online platform Brightwheel no later than January 15 of each year. New and returning families may fill out an enrollment form any time after they become available, but should submit them online no later than February 1. Once the registration fee is paid, students have an active application for enrollment.
- Active applications are processed in two batches: (1) returning students and siblings and (2) new students.
- All returning students are guaranteed placement for the next school year in their current primary class (morning, afternoon, or all-day) or in elementary if aging out of the primary program. Returning families will be notified of placement on March 1.
- New students' applications are processed as a single batch and classroom placements are made by group. Please note that we can accommodate a small number of students who have not been toilet trained, but most first-year students will need to be able to use the bathroom with minimal adult assistance. Parents will be notified of their child’s class placement or waitlist status by March 15.
- As waitlist spots become available, parents will be notified. If the placement is accepted, a tuition deposit will be billed and due within 7 business days.
- A non-refundable deposit equal to one month's tuition is due for all new students by May 1 and all returning students by June 1. If enrollment takes place after June 1, the deposit is due in full at the time of enrollment. Failure to pay this deposit will result in losing placement and the opening will be filled with another family.

- Morning Primary: Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 11:30 am
- Afternoon Primary: Monday - Thursday 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm
- Kindergarten and Extended-Day Primary: Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 3:30 pm; Must be 5 by 8/1/25 for Kindergarten and 5 by 12/31/25 for Extended-Day
- Elementary Grades 1-6: Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Steps
- We hold a prospective families’ open house in early to mid-January. Please contact us directly to be notified about this or to arrange a tour after that time.
- Request an application.
- You will receive, by January 15 or within 2 days of contacting us, an online application form, a student questionnaire, and information about our PTO need-based scholarship.
- An invoice for the registration fee will be sent through Brightwheel within 2 days after your application submission.
